Topical Fluoride & Bleaching

Where required, we occasionally advise the use of topical fluoride as part of our on going approach to prevention. We offer the use of topical fluoride following the restoration of teeth by our modern materials. One of the materials we use, the glass ionomer, has an ion exchange with the tooth material itself. Fluoride toothpaste, with their bactericides, maintains the level of antibacterial activity at a constant level. We may suggest that the hygienist applies the topical fluoride at a regular six monthly interval to maintain the highest degree of protection for your restorations.
